Welcome to the first International Viola Congress in the new millenium. We are proud to be able to invite you to Linköping in Sweden for this viola event featuring Scandinavian music and musicians. There will be concerts, recitals, lectures and instruments, bows and sheet music will be on show. There will also be guest artists from outside Scandinavia giving the proper international feeling to the congress.

There is time set aside for the Annual General Meeting and for the social dimension which is an integral part of any viola congress. The congress is part of the annual music festival "Musikdagar", 29 July - 13 August, and gives ample opportunity to experience other kinds of wonderful music and art in various settings in the beautiful county of Östergötland.

Linköping and Norrköping, within 30 miles of each other, both have international airports. By train it is only a two hour journey from Stockholm.

Please feel very welcome to attend the 28th International Viola Congress in Sweden.
